This latest push from the NW has been very intense up and down the entire West Coast with places reaching wave heights of 20+ft or 6+m.
As for the local Malibu scene, Zuma is very chaotic and disorganized with high rips and big sand movement. Also lifeguard towers have been forced to move back to street level because of the intense intrusion.
However, Surf Rider looks big, fun size with good shape and long rides.
Leo Carrillo and County Line are firing from the breaks as well. Breaks starting further out are making an incredible ride left or right break.
Most important is that these conditions are not for beginners. Solid intermediate with a great paddle will do well as well as the advanced. Both short and long board styles will equally have fun but larger boards will be a challenge breaking through the surf. In turn long smooth rides will be the reward and these wave command the best of you.
