We are not getting enough news or data about how these atmospheric rivers are effecting the health of our coasts. Water people, like surfers, divers and others who actively play in the ocean are acutely aware of the environment changes.
We have been through this before with the 2017 Thomas and 2018 Woosley fires. Many studies have been performed to understand how these events have polluted our coasts and the evidence was not good.
These atmospheric events are historic to our current civilization. The impacts run up and down the entire state of California therefore we can extrapolate this pollution impact to be much greater than before.
The dangers of pollution like industrial fertilizers, fecal matter, asbestos and general garbage have been swept from mountains, valleys and lowlands all dumping into the ocean.
In this series we will investigate by reaching out to as many scientists as possible to help shed light on the evidence of this phenomenon and the health of our California coast.
Stay safe…
